Plant Propagation Project
Linda McHam initiated the project to construct propagation beds for the Club. The idea is to train members to propagate the bulk of plants for future club plant sales. Sales have usually used "bought-in" plants, so growing our own saves money. Photo albums on this page document how the beds were constructed, and how the beds were filled with cuttings. Also see Linda's chart for taking cuttings from deciduous plants. That and other propagation information is found on our Gardening Help page.
Prior to Linda's project, various experienced Club members provided instruction to others about propagating plants over the years. We include one example, a session run by long-time member Jess Taylor.
